Every Child, Every Opportunity.

Our girls are encouraged to challenge themselves, be ambitious in their learning, and achieve their maximum potential. Girls at Senior School enjoy small class sizes with inspirational and passionate subject teachers who get to know them on a personal level – this means that teaching is tailored to each girl’s unique learning style and each individual has the freedom to express themselves in their own way.Head of academic

Key Stage 3 is a time when our pupils are encouraged to become more proactive, resourceful learners. Our girls learn to reflect on their progress, as they grow in confidence and self-knowledge.

In Year 7 – Year 9 girls are given the opportunity to study a wide range of subjects including two languages, the arts, and humanities plus their core subjects – English, maths and science. With solid foundations in a wide range of different subjects, the girls are well-placed to make their GCSE option choices.

Whether independently or as members of a team, our pupils learn to become curious in their learning, questioning in their approach, and confident in their ability to analyse, investigate, and evaluate ideas. Above all, we develop a love of learning which stays with our girls for life.

Our curriculum and options at GCSE encourage our girls to start to tailor their learning to their own individual interests and learning styles. When choosing their subjects, girls get full support to ensure they are choosing subjects that not only complement each other and set the girls up for their next steps but also are right for them as they develop and grow as young people – see more about GCSEs here.
