In a world of increasing globalisation, we have more knowledge of other countries than ever before. Therefore, embracing other languages is encouraged. Learning other languages is not just about communicating information, it’s a way of understanding culture and expression. At Rye, the teaching of language is not simply of grammar and vocabulary, but draws on history, geography, literature and film. As an international community, we welcome and foster the exercise of different languages – both inside, and outside of the classroom.
