Welcome

Rye St Antony recognises the value of Educational Agents representing overseas pupils who wish to apply to study at the school. Our Agents are very important to us, we consider them our partners in student recruitment and it is therefore key to have strong  and collaborative relationship. Our consultancy agreement reflects this. In line with UK Visa and Immigration guidance, we will collect two school references from our Agents and require a signed consultancy agreement.

Rye is proud of its tradition of welcoming learners from across the globe to study in the heart of Oxford. We have long considered the internationality of our staff and pupil body as one of our greatest strengths. Licensed by the UKVI as a Student route sponsor, we have an excellent track record of sponsoring international pupils and their visa applications. Pupils arrive at all stages of English language learning, and work towards fluency through a route that includes internationally recognised qualifications.

English Language Requirements

Cambridge University Language Assessment Examinations (e.g. FCE, IELTS) begin with curriculum lessons in year 9 and above, with the aim that our international Sixth Formers have all the requisite language qualifications in place when applying to university. More intensive language learning is possible through individual or small group sessions with our TEFL teachers. Coming to Rye provides so much more than an education in the English language; it’s also a cultural immersion which prepares young people for living abroad.

International Pupils

International pupils become part of the boarding family, participating in a wide range of activities that help them feel at home abroad. Situated as we are in the historic City of Oxford, our international pupils benefit from the rich cultural heritage of the area, participating in many exciting excursions. Unsure if studying internationally is the right choice? Rye’s Summer Camp 2022 will give attendees a blast of full immersion into British culture and language learning, with an optional Tennis Academy experience built into this intensive two week programme that is sure to inspire, building confidence towards a fuller international experience.

Head of Boarding

I am thrilled to be the Head of boarding at Rye St Antony school. The boarding team consists of myself, Mrs. Gensmantel; Deputy Head of Boarding and our wonderful graduate assistants, we are all dedicated to looking after our boarders. Our nurse is also a part of our team and together we provide seamless holistic care for our girls.

We embrace the many cultures in boarding and celebrate special holidays with parties and traditional food. Any excuse to decorate our boarding house and dress up always leads to a fun filled evening.

I look forward to welcoming new boarders to our boarding family and hope they can make this house their second home and build friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
