Prep School Curriculum Preparatory School
Small class sizes in our Preparatory School mean our experienced teachers have the freedom to use varied and creative teaching methods whilst being able to meet the individual needs of each pupil, tailoring work to their bring out the very best in them.
In our broad and carefully balanced curriculum, your child can expect to learn, investigate and discover:
- The sciences
- Humanities such as history and geography
In Prep School, pupils have a Form Teacher each year, but also work with specialist teachers in French, ICT, Science, Music, Drama, PE, Art and Food.
Key Stage Two readers are consistently well above the national average and pupils’ attainment increases by three to four grades above the national curriculum levels for every year group.
The boys attending Rye, who leave at the age of 11, are renowned for achieving places in top Oxford Schools including Magdalen, Abingdon, New College, Summer Fields and Christ Church Cathedral School.
Year 6 girls leave Prep School thoroughly prepared for the transition into Senior School with four Scholarships offered each year.
