Our two boarding houses offer a happy home-from-home environment situated within our beautiful 12 acre grounds. Each are run by two experienced Housemistresses and their team of Assistants and consist of:

The Cottage

The Cottage houses our older pupils, aged from 15 to 19 and each are accommodated in single study bedrooms.

Set in attractive wooded surroundings, the Cottage has a total of 45 bedrooms and benefits from its own courtyard patio garden, dining room, kitchen, common rooms, computer rooms, careers library and laundry facilities.

The Cottage is comfortably furnished with lots of comfortable sofas and chairs to relax in as well as ample spaces to study.

On summer days you will often see girls making the most of our beautiful quadrangle and courtyard area which has plenty of outside seating.

The Cottage is also the location of our Sixth Form Centre as well as our Medical Centre. This area of the school allows our Sixth Form girls to enjoy facilities which are totally self-contained but they can also take advantage of the rest of the school’s ample facilities at any time.

The Croft

The Croft has a special family atmosphere all of its own and accommodates our younger boarders aged eight and upwards. Girls share a comfortable and spacious room, usually with three or four others depending on its size.

The Croft’s comfortable common room is a popular place for girls to relax and unwind, where they can make use of a range of recreational equipment, TV, DVD player and games. This is also where healthy snacks are served when the school day has finished such as fruit plates.

This boarding house for our younger girls is a real home from home with comfortable sofas and furnishings, spacious bathrooms, spaces to study and relax, kitchen and laundry facilities and of course access to technology and computers.

All pupils at Croft have access to everything the school has to offer from the music block and art rooms to the sports hall and fitness suite and can make the school’s spacious grounds their own.

The boarding house is where we help, trust and love each other. Being part of it is like belonging to another family
