cademic standards and expectations
are high, small classes promote active and confident
learning, and all girls benefit from teaching and support
directed to their individual needs.
In the Senior School all girls follow
a broad and balanced common course for the first three
years, comprising English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,
Biology, French, History, Geography, Religious Education,
Technology, Information and Communications Technology,
Art, Music, Drama and Physical Education. Latin and
Spanish are optional subjects. There is a cross-curricular
Health Education programme.
Twenty plus subjects are offered as GCSE subjects. For
the two-year GCSE course girls usually study ten subjects,
a mixture of options and core subjects (including Co-ordinated
Science, a double award subject).
