Rye St Antony School, Oxford

eech Tree Nursery School the school is an "approved provider" for girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 5. The Nursery School is inspired by the Montessori principle of allowing each child to choose her or his own activities and in this way engage with the environment at a developmental level with which the child is comfortable.

Children are encouraged to have confidence in themselves and to gain independence. Respect for each other is encouraged by observation and discussion. Each child is helped to discover the pleasure of working alone and with others, within the framework of the six areas of learning of the Foundation Stage of the National Curriculum:

Personal, Social and emotional Development
Communication, Language and Literacy
Mathematical Development
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
Physical Development
Creative Development

The School is an approved provider within the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership (EYDCP), and the Early Years Nursery Education Grant is available for both morning and afternoon sessions.
