Kathryn
My name is Kathryn and I am currently in Year 12. I joined Rye St Antony in Year 4, having previously attended a state primary school. Throughout my years at Rye I have greatly grown in confidence and become involved in most aspects of school life. I enjoy sport and play regularly in Rye’s netball and tennis teams. I learn the saxophone, and I have also done Irish dancing for ten years and love performing at Rye for various special occasions. I have enjoyed working for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze and Silver Awards, and I am about to begin work for my Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award.
I was pleased with my six A*s and five As for GCSE, and over the next two years I shall be deciding whether to study Science or History at university and where I would like to study. I have found that Rye is a welcoming place which caters for everyone’s specific needs and interests. Rye has offered me the chance to excel in things which I have done but within a relaxed and friendly environment. It has offered the most memorable times, ones that I shall never forget.
Megan
My name is Megan. I came to Rye St Antony in Year 7 and I am now in Year 12. Over the years, I have benefited from the friendly but ambitious atmosphere of the school, and I am involved in many aspects of school life, in particular swimming, playing flute and piano, and editing the school newspaper, The Rye Perspective. I have already completed my Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze and Silver Awards and I am now working towards my Gold Award. I was thrilled with the eleven A*s I achieved last year for my GCSEs and I hope to continue to achieve good results. I am hoping to study Natural Sciences at university, and Rye is the perfect place for me to work towards that goal.
Sarah
My name is Sarah. I came to Rye St Antony in Year 5 and I am now in Year 12. The friendly and happy atmosphere of Rye has encouraged me to take part in and enjoy hockey, swimming and other sports, musical activities, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award and Maths and Physics Challenges. Last year I took my GCSEs and achieved nine A*s and two As, and I hope to continue achieving at a high level in my A Level work. During Sixth Form I am also aiming to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award and remain involved with all areas at Rye. I am planning to study History or Classics at university. I have Rye to thank for my growing confidence. I especially appreciate the fact that Rye values everyone as an individual.
