Following a visit to see an exciting new version of Angela Carter’s The Magic Toyshop at the Oxford Playhouse, the Year 10 GCSE Drama students were visited by directors Katie Carpenter and Jessica Edwards, as well as writer/adaptor Theo Merz, who ran a practical workshop exploring the themes of the play. The girls responded with energy and humour, producing some memorable pieces of work and relishing the task to work with such talented theatrical practitioners.
