11+ (at entry to Year 7) and 13+ (at entry to Year 9) Scholarships

Five 11+ and three 13+ academic/special subject scholarships are offered each year, each scholarship to the value of 10% fees a year and available for the length of the recipient's secondary education at Rye, including sixth form.

Each scholarship is awarded in recognition of academic achievement and/or performance in some other area, for example, music, art, drama or sport, the methods of assessment varying according to the subject(s) offered, and including an examination (two one-hour papers, one in English and one in Mathematics) in relation to applications for the academic scholarships. All candidates are interviewed by a panel of Governors, Staff and the Headmistress.

The scholarships are open to girls applying for 2011 entry to Rye St Antony as well as girls currently at Rye St Antony. The Governors' decision on the award of the scholarships will be final.

 

Sixth Form (at entry to Year 12) Scholarships

Examinations and Interviews: Thursday 4 and Friday 5 November 2010
Closing date for entries: Friday 22 October 2010

Five academic/special subject scholarships are offered each year, each to the value of 10% fees a year and available for both sixth form years.

The scholarships are awarded on performance in the scholarship examination (a one-hour general question for all candidates and a further one-hour subject-specific question for academic scholarship candidates) and, in relation to special subject scholarships, account is taken of additional material, for example, an art portfolio, a music audition or evidence of sporting achievements. All candidates are interviewed by a panel of Governors, Staff and the Headmistress.


School fees 2010-2011:
£6,480.00 a term (full boarding)
£6,170.00 a term (weekly boarding)
£3,820.00 a term (day)

The Governors' decision on the award of scholarships will be final.
