In Nursery School we create a secure, happy and stimulating environment where each child is nurtured, valued and helped to become an enthusiastic and independent learner. First-hand experiences, exploration and play provide meaningful, fun contexts for learning, both indoors and outside in our extensive wooded grounds.
Supportive adult role models encourage children to talk about their experiences, and enable them to extend their own interests. This emphasis on developing good communication skills fosters children’s abilities to work co-operatively and harmoniously with one another.
We deliver a strong, broad and creative curriculum, which is the foundation for all future learning and promotes children’s progress in the following areas: personal, social and emotional well-being; language and communication skills; reading and writing; mathematics; knowledge and understanding of the world; and physical and creative development.
We celebrate children’s achievements, praising effort and good behaviour and encouraging children to become confident, self-motivated learners.
The Nursery School is open from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm. Morning, afternoon and full-day sessions (length according to need and preference) are all available.
