he School's careers advisory service
provides help and guidance for all girls, and there is
a formal programme of careers advice throughout Years
9, 10 and 11 and Sixth Form. All girls go on to university
and are helped to investigate thoroughly the Higher Education
and careers options open to them, careful guidance being
given concerning their applications and interviews. The
support of the Headmistress, the Deputy Headmistress and
other senior staff is available at all stages.
Work experience placements are an integral
part of the careers programme, and girls are encouraged
to make particular use of this option at the end of their
GCSE courses. The School belongs to the Independent Schools
Careers Organisation and benefits from its many services. |

Visiting speakers give lectures on various Higher Education
and careers topics; visits to appropriate conferences
and exhibitions are arranged; and the School organises
and hosts a biennial Careers Convention. In the careers
library is a wide range of printed, video and computer-based
information. |
